Therapeutic Approaches

Claire utlises the following therapeutic approaches in her work.

  1. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy –
    helps to identify unhelpful thinking styles and behavioural patterns and how to change them to more helpful approaches.
  2. Gestalt Therapy –
    focusing on self-awareness and the “here and now” to achieve personal growth.
  3. Mindfulness –
    a way of being in the present moment and accepting thoughts and feelings without judging them.
  4. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy –
    learning to accept and defuse difficult thoughts and feelings and live more fully according to your values.
  5. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) –
    a World Health Organisation recommended approach to treating trauma.
